Current vacancies for post-doctoral researchers

Post-Doc in perception and cognition

Applications are invited for the role of Post-doctoral Researcher at Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience (TCIN). The aim of the project is to elucidate the behavioural and brain processes underpinning combined visual, auditory and haptic object categorization, in children and in adults, and assess the extent to which such categories adapt to changes in task conditions. The research adopts a multidisciplinary approach involving cognitive neuroscience, statistical modelling, psychophysics and computer science, particularly Virtual Reality.

Internships & Placement Opportunities

Internships with the MPAC lab usually take place in the summer months and are unpaid positions which provide students with experience investigating perception in a lab.

It is expected that you first apply for the Summer Student Scholarship which the Health Research Board offers. Most applications to the HRB are submitted electronically through the HRB Grant E-Management System GEMS. The internal deadline for this call is Thursday 02 March 2023.  Applicants should submit full and final application on GEMS by this date, including all supporting documents. They will also need to provide the Research Office with Head of School endorsement of their application by 02 March 2023 at the latest.  A short email from Head of School to research.office@tcd.ie explicitly confirming the School’s endorsement of their application is sufficient. Once applications have been submitted on GEMS, and Head of School endorsement email has been received, Trinity’s Research Development Office submits these applications (on behalf of applicants) to the HRB for deadline 13.00 on Thursday 09 March 2023.

Further information can be found here.

Apply here in the new year before February 28th 2023 to be considered for summer 2023.
