MPAC Lab goes to IMRF

This summer, the lab travelled to Genoa, Italy, for the 24th International Multisensory Research Forum (IMRF 2026), held from 24 to 27 June.

Prof. Fiona Newell presented at a symposium on Multisensory integration and ageing: cognitive, motor, and brain health implications, alongside Dr Jennifer L. Campos, Isabella Martinelli, Dr Uroš Marušič, and Prof. Amir Amedi. The session examined how we combine information from our senses as we age, and what this means for thinking, movement, and brain health.

It was a great chance to share our work on ageing and the senses with the wider multisensory community. Lab members also presented posters, from touch and shape perception in older adults to how we form categories across vision and touch.
